Ilona IT grabbed a 14 million IT software deal covering 24 local universities

Ilona has won a public tender organized by the University of Helsinki, in which a reseller of software licenses and cloud services for 24 universities was selected.

Under the agreement, universities can easily procure exactly the software or cloud service they need directly from Ilona, ​​without separate tenders. The new model saves information management time in purchasing processes and enables better license management.

“The new, almost nationwide, framework agreement strengthens Ilona’s role as a licensing expert for educational institutions,” emphasizes Christian Alopaeus, CEO of Ilona. “We at Ilona call it the SOFTATUKKU service,” he continues. In addition to these 24 universities, Ilona also offers a new Softatukku service to all other Finnish educational institutions and school levels nationwide.

“The Softatukku service enables all customers to distribute software and licenses through the new Academic Software portal. This platform will facilitate the work of information management and dramatically increase the satisfaction of both teachers and students with digital services, ”says Ilona's expert Risto Korhonen.
