Join the Software Library EU

Make your digital service stand out by showing your commitment to data protection, responsible AI, and digital accessibility.

The Software Library EU is a centralized and growing platform that helps organizations make safer and more informed procurement decisions for software and cloud services. There is already over 350 services in the Library.

Developed by Ilona IT, the Library brings together vendor-verified GDPR and AI-related information in one structured database. The service is already used by around 150 customer organizations in Finland and it is expanding to other European countries through our parent company Academic Software. Piloting is currently underway in Germany and Belgium.

If you are a software vendor or cloud service provider, now is the right time to add your service to the Software Library EU. By doing so, you make key compliance information easier for customers to find, compare, and use in their own assessment work.

Why Join?

Reach customers more effectively

Organizations increasingly need reliable compliance information before they can purchase or continue using digital services. Being included in the Library helps your service stay visible and easier to evaluate.

Reduce repeated questionnaires

The Library reduces the number of separate GDPR and AI-related information requests sent by individual customer organizations, because your answers can be reused in a structured format.

Share information proactively

After entering the information, you can share your service data in a structured format with all your customers. You can download your data in pdf and csv.- format.

Build trust and remove barriers to purchase

Clear and up-to-date compliance information helps customers move faster in procurement, assessment, and deployment decisions.

Show your service in a growing European framework

The Software Library EU already supports a large and growing user base, with more than 350 software titles documented in the platform.

Join free of charge

Listing your service and keeping your information updated in the Library is free for vendors.

Core functionality for customers

The Software Library EU helps customers assess digital services with structured vendor information and practical tools built into the service.

GDPR data supports privacy assessments and procurement-related documentation.

AI data helps customers understand whether and how AI is used in a service and supports them to create relevant assessments under the EU AI Act.

New in 2026: digital accessibility data

A major new development area is digital accessibility data.

During summer 2026, we are collecting answers from service providers to approximately 20 new accessibility-related questions. Based on this new data, we will publish accessibility-related information and features for Software Library users during autumn 2026.

This new layer will help customers evaluate not only privacy and AI-related requirements, but also the accessibility of digital services as part of their procurement and use.

For vendors, this means an opportunity to present accessibility-related information in a structured and visible way, using the same trusted framework that already supports GDPR and AI-related assessments.

Why this matters for vendors?

Customers are no longer looking only for functionality and price. They increasingly need documented information on:

  • data protection

  • AI-related obligations

  • accessibility requirements

  • responsible use of digital services

By joining the Software Library EU, you help customers access this information in one place and reduce friction in sales, procurement, and compliance discussions.
