We invite you to join the GDPR Library EU. This new project has been started by Finnish learning technology expert company, Ilona IT. The Library will help all the organizations purchasing and using software & cloud services more safely – while complying with European GDPR regulations.

 

By the GDPR regulations, when customers are purchasing software (applications and online services), the information security of the acquired service must be determined and an assessment of its effects must be made. These are often laborious tasks and every organization does them themselves from the start. Sometimes the reports are not done at all.

 

The goal of the GDPR Library EU is to collect the necessary software-specific information directly from the vendors. The accuracy of the information is verified by the vendors, and the information is kept up-to-date through periodic repeated surveys of the vendors.​

Only public information is shared in the Library and it is free of charge for vendors. 

 

PROJECT PROGRESS

• September 2023: GDPR Library EU published

• December 2023: 70 % of Finnish HiEdu organizations are customers, also part of vocational schools and municipalities

• February 2024: the DPIA-tool published to the customers

• Summer 2024: Over 100 customer organizations participated

• Autumn 2024-25: sales to the other European countries starts, more vendors and softwares to the Library
